Welcome vacationers!
If you have been displaced from a planned cottage rental home accommodation on Hatteras Island, here is a list of excellent companies in other areas of the Outer Banks who have promised to work with you - the dislocated guest. These companies will make every attempt to relocate to an equal or nicer vacation rental for similar or discounted rates, in consideration of what you have lost.
Please, allow us to help save your vacation!
When calling these companies, please let them know where your original reservations were made, and tell them you are a 'displaced' vacationer. And before contacting any of these companies - please, attempt to contact your original rental company. They may have already set up other arrangements for you. These are offered knowing at this time, it is uncertain when Hatteras will reopen to visitors.
Also, please understand any new arrangements are still considered 'new' reservations, independent of whatever travel insurance proceeds and cannot be contingent on any possible refund from your original company. If you obtained travel insurance, you will still be fully eligible for the loss of your deposit/payment on your original rental. Please do fill out your claim form and turn it in immediately... we hope it will be just a few weeks difference between your vacation stay and reimbursement of the original rental deposit/payment.
In the meantime... please, stay and enjoy all that Outer Banks has to offer - there is more than Cape Hatteras awaiting you here (Although, we do admit Cape Hatteras is, and will be again... a fantastic vacation location)!
