OBAR is delighted to announce that the 2020 scholarships have been awarded to local high school seniors. After local seniors missed out on their proms and graduations, the Board of Directors worried about the financial hardships that some families are facing after layoffs and furloughs due to COVID-19 shutdowns. As a result, the BOD approved increasing the number of scholarships to 12 local seniors. In addition, they added Ocracoke and Currituck High Schools to include all schools within the Association’s territory*. This would not have been possible without our Community Partners and generous REALTOR® members. Thank YOU!
Congratulations to the following future college students*:
Litzy Valazquez Tobar, Manteo High
Hanna Dozier, Currituck High
Abby Rose, Currituck High
Milagro Ortiz, Ocracoke High
