Register for the 27th Annual Charity Surf Fishing Tournament – $1,000 YETI Raffle

Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® Invites Anglers to Compete for Prizes /YETI Raffle Package Valued at Over $1,000

Nags Head, NC – The Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® (OBAR) is thrilled to announce the 27th Annual Charity Surf Fishing Tournament, set to take place on Friday, October 4th, from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm in Nags Head. Tournament committee Co-Chairs Tammy Aycock and Sarah Sheppard invite anglers of all skill levels to participate in this exciting event, which combines the thrill of fishing with the opportunity to give back to the community. Special thanks to lunch sponsor Steven Gillis State Farm, beverage sponsor Pro 1 Pest Control, and pre-raffle prize sponsor Kellogg's Supply Co and Super Wings; and snack sponsor Cola Vaughan Realty.

Event Details:

  • Date: Friday, October 4th, 2024
  • Time: 6:30 am to 12:30 pm
  • Location: Nags Head  (boundaries of tournament will be provided prior to the tournament)

Registration Information:

  • Limited number of teams available. To register, please contact Tournament Liaison Karen Pierce at karenp@outerbanksrealtors.com or 252.489.1478.
  • Regular registration $350 per team.

  • Swag buckets for each registered team
  • Delicious lunch and refreshing beverages
  • Exciting team and individual prizes and a Grand Prize of $600 cash

Pre-Tournament YETI Raffle:

  • Tickets are only $10 each to win a YETI prize package worth over $1,000
  • Tickets can be purchased at the OBAR office or through Venmo (@outerbanksrealtors)

After-Tournament Reception:

  • An after-tournament reception with lunch will be held at the Village Beach Club (5805 S. Seachase Drive, Nags Head) to celebrate the day’s achievements and connect with fellow fishing enthusiasts.

Team Captains Meeting:

  • Team Captains are invited to attend a meeting on Thursday, October 3rd, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm at the OBAR office located at 201 W. Eighth Street, Nags Head. At this meeting, Captains can pick up their team’s fishing bucket, which includes swag items, and receive the tournament packet. The packet will contain essential information, including the boundary map (teams choose where to fish), a scorecard, and rules and regulations.

The Surf Fishing Tournament is part of “Surf, Turf, and Roll”, a series of three OBAR charitable events held during the year, that also include a Bowling Tournament and Golf Tournament. All proceeds from these events benefit the Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® Scholarship and Disaster Relief funds, held in partnership with the Outer Banks Community Foundation. The Association annually awards $12,000 in scholarships to area seniors and has provided thousands of dollars to assist Outer Banks residents in times of need.
