OBAR has seen an increase in damaged lockboxes over the past month. It is clear these lockboxes have been damaged by someone trying to break into the home with either a crowbar or some other type of tool. If you find a lockbox that has obviously been tampered with, return to your car and call the police immediately. Then call MLS Director Dan Sutherland at (252) 489-1487. In either case, do NOT attempt to enter the home, as whomever damaged it may still be inside. Remember: Safety FIRST. For both you AND your clients!
